Located along King George Highway, Vye’s Beach has been a popular beach for locals for decades. More importantly,
the beach offers outstanding water views of Beaubears Island and Strawberry Marsh.
On entering Miramichi along the north shore King George Hwy., Vye's Beach lookout is a welcoming "overture" to the Miramichi
Open River Ecomuseum and is well positioned to be utilized as a welcome centre for visitors entering the city. On the beach,
visitors enjoy the panoramic spectacle of the area.
Key Goals and Strategies
• Maintain beach access for public use.
• Ensure vegetation
remains on cliffs as an erosion control measure.
• Welcome and orientate visitors to the City of Miramichi.
